Reduce the Risk of Loss From Car Theft or Break In

Guard against the theft of valuables from your car by placing them in the trunk or, better still, an in car safe for your valuables.
If you are out without your car, ensure your keys are well hidden at home, as most home-based car thefts result from keys being stolen from the house.
Choose parking spots wisely, in well lit places, or use car parks with security guards and CCTV cameras.
Remember to lock you car and not leave the key in or on it.
Navigation systems often contain personal data which could lead a thief straight to your home, so keep them out of sight when not in use.
Make a list of all your valuables, with their worth and check that you’ve got enough insurance to cover their full value.
