About Bruce
Bruce Milan learned traditional
blacksmithing skills in 1978 under master smith Lee McDaniel at Oregon
State University farrier school, Corvallis, Oregon, USA.
While no longer a horseshoer, for almost 30 years Bruce has been
forging ironwork, that is hammering, bending and twisting steel that
has been brought to high heat – often 1500 to 2000 degrees F – in an
air-blasted coal fire. With master McDaniel’s guiding
principle ever foremost, “Get it hot and hit it”, Bruce is able to
achieve grace and permanence in affordable one of a kind works.
Specializing in garden sculpture,
benches, gates and trellises.
