37" x 46" Wall Hanging consisting of 12 identical 9" NYB blocks, a pieced outer border with free-hand points, an appliquéd inner border and curved corner blocks. Inner Lay-Out designed by Lydia Quigley.

43" x 43" Wall Hanging consisting of 16 identical 8" NYB blocks, a pieced outer border with free-hand points, an appliquéd inner border and curved corner blocks

49" x 61" Wall Hanging consisting of 12 different NYB sampler blocks set in an attic window setting, a pieced outer border with free hand points and curved corner blocks.

82"x 100" quilt consisting of 80 identical 8" NYB blocks, with background arcs from two contrasting fabrics, creating a secondary windmill pattern. Set with sashing and curved corner blocks

"Curved Piecing"
6 hour workshop - intermediate level

Learn the basics of curved piecing and a whole new design world will open up for you.
In the process you will construct a lap size scrap quilt.
Purchase of Debbie Bowles book: “Cutting Curves from Straight Pieces” mandatory for this workshop, available in class at a discount.

"Homespun Gold"

Two session Workshop

Two session workshop - 6 hours each -all skills level 82" x 96" quilt. Two simple blocks and a flying geese border make this effective scrap quilt. A good introduction to understanding the concept of 'value'.

"Crazy Stars"
Quilting Workshop - Crazy Stars
Two session Workshop

Two session workshop - 6 hours each - intermediate level 72 " x 72" quilt, 48 - 6" x 8" blocks- Learn to draft these odd shaped stars, paper piece them and create four different borders, two of which are mitered.

"Dancing Stars"

6 hour Studio Workshop

6 hour workshop - all skills level 67" x 76" If you can sew two pieces of fabric together you can take this fun class. This is an opportunity to use all those scraps you have been collecting. Borders can be plain or as complex as your skills level permit.

6 hour workshop - intermediate level 33 ½ " x 39 " Wall Hanging, (easily adapted to a larger size) Learn 'set-in' piecing and the concept of 'value' while using up your scraps

Crossed Canoes
6 hour Workshop - intermediate level

6 hour workshop - intermediate level 66 1/2" x 66 1/2" Wonderful symmetrical quilt with lots of movement consisting of 16 crossed canoe blocks set with sashing and three borders. An option for another border not quite as intricate is also provided in class as well as the requirements for a full size quilt. Designed by Lydia Quigley.

Lopsided Logs
6 hour Studio Workshop

6 hour workshop - all skills level - 38" x 47"
As easy as sewing two pieces of fabrics together. You decide how diverse or how controlled you want the fabrics to be, drawing from your scrap collection or from a specific colour theme.

Workshops are also offered through The County Art Workshops.

Fee Schedules for Guilds and Quilt Stores available upon request.

  • Fee includes lunch, all fees are payable at time of registration.

From Kingston: Follow the 401 west to Highway 49, Follow 49 south to Picton, Turn left to Highway 33 in Picton and follow 33 as above.
